Great Grandparents

ZIMMERS - John Nicholas Zimmer 3/24/1857 - 1/29/1944 born in Germany. His wife, Willamina Deutsch was born March 22, 1860.

John's parents were John Zimmer and Catherine Schluerman

Willamina's parents were Jacob Deutsch and Gharla Weingartner.

ZIMMERS - Robert Lincoln Pinegar (1876-1955) and his wife Alice Eldora (Dora) Clevenger 4/7/1877 - 1967.

After a night of heavy drinking, Robert L. fell across the railroad tracks. The train came along and severed his arm. Robert was found wandering without it, having no idea what had happened to him. The police searched for his arm, but it's unclear if it was ever found.

His seven children sued the saloon owners, William Ashert and J. Wescott for serving their father too much alcohol. It is said that Robert eventually shot off his foot while trying to cock his gun with only one arm.
